This Privacy Policy describes how HelioPop (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our mobile game on iOS and Android.

By downloading or using HelioPop, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

HelioPop is a casual balloon-tapping game. The App is published by the developer listed on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Data stored on your device (not sent to our servers)

HelioPop does not operate its own user accounts or backend servers for gameplay. The following data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage) to save your game experience:

Game progress (unlocked levels, high scores, achievements)
Player profile you create in the App (such as a display name and avatar choice)
App settings (for example, sound preferences)
Tutorial completion status

This information stays on your device unless you delete the App or clear app data. We do not receive this data on our own servers.

2.2 Local network (2-player WiFi mode)

If you use 2-player WiFi mode, the App uses your local network to connect directly with another device on the same Wi-Fi network. Game data for multiplayer is exchanged between devices on your local network and is not sent to us.

On iOS, the App may request permission to use the local network for this feature.

2.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)

HelioPop shows rewarded video ads provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). When you view ads, Google may collect and process information as described in Google’s policies, which may include:

Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
IP address
Ad interaction data
General device and app usage information related to ads

We configure ad requests to use non-personalized ads where supported (requestNonPersonalizedAdsOnly). Google may still process limited technical data needed to deliver and measure ads.

2.4 What we do not collect

We do not require you to create an account. We do not knowingly collect from the App:

Real name, postal address, or phone number (unless you email us for support)
Precise location (the App does not use GPS location)
Photos, contacts, or calendar data
Payment information (the App is free; any in-app purchases would be handled by Apple/Google if added later)

3. How we use information

On-device data: to save progress, settings, and your profile
Local network: to enable same-WiFi multiplayer between two devices
AdMob: to show optional rewarded ads between game sessions
Support email: to respond if you contact us

4. Children’s privacy

HelioPop is designed as a family-friendly casual game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own systems. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us by email, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party advertising (Google AdMob) may process data according to Google’s policies. Parents can limit ad tracking in device settings (see Section 6).

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:

Google AdMob — for advertising (see Section 2.3)
Apple / Google — if you download the App through their stores, their policies apply to store transactions and device services
Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights and safety

6. Your choices and rights

Delete local data: uninstall the App or clear app storage in your device settings
Reset progress: use in-app reset options if available, or clear app data
Limit ad tracking (iOS): Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Limit ad personalization (Android): Settings → Google → Ads
Contact us: request information or deletion of data you sent us by email

7. Data retention

On-device game data is kept until you delete the App or clear its data. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Google retains ad-related data according to Google’s retention policies.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information within our control. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Local multiplayer operates on your network; use trusted Wi-Fi networks.

9. International users

If you use HelioPop outside your home country, information may be processed on your device and by Google (including in the United States or other countries where Google operates).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
